I would give 10 stars if I could. This was my first foray into preparing a book myself for self publishing. In the past we have paid a designer a vast amount which wasn’t a cost effective option for this project. Riley at Imprint was endlessly helpful and patient and we have ended up with a very professional product at an incredibly reasonable price. What is even more outstanding is that I approved the final PDF on Wednesday and received the books on Friday!

I'm delighted with the whole printing experience with ImprintDigital. In a book with many colour photos and detailed technical illustrations, the printing quality is absolutely superb, with bright, true colours, sharp details and a high-quality glossy texture. The ordering process was simple and email responses were fast, friendly and professional..A delivery issue caused by another company was handled swiftly and elegantly. I highly recommend ImprintDigital.

Questions

Diaries FAQ

How much does diary printing cost?

Diary pricing depends on page count, size, paper, binding, cover finish and quantity. A day-per-page layout usually uses more paper than a week-to-view layout, so compare both at your intended run size. Use the calculator above for your exact specification, or compare UK book printing prices.

Can diaries start in any month?

Yes, the dated grid is printed, not bought in, so a September academic start, an April financial year or an 18-month spread all cost the same as January to December. Tell us the span and we set the dates.

Do you supply the dated pages or do I design them?

Either. Supply a print-ready PDF with your own dated layout, or ask for our day-per-page and week-to-view grid templates and drop your branding, colours and extras in. For fully bespoke grids (columns for a specific workflow, saints' days, tide tables, we've seen most things) send the spec and we'll set it.

What's the minimum order?

10 copies: a genuine short run, not a promotional-catalogue floor of 250. Corporate runs typically land at 50 to 250, school diaries at one-per-student plus spares, retail runs at 250 to 1,000. Unit cost falls meaningfully at 50, 100, 250 and 500.

When should I order a diary for a January start?

Have files approved by early November for comfortable pre-Christmas delivery, hardback runs take 3 to 4 weeks plus proofing, and December couriers are December couriers. School diaries for September want files in by mid-July. We schedule backwards from your start date; tell us the deadline at quote stage.

Day-per-page or week-to-view, which should I pick?

Week-to-view (about 144 pages with extras) keeps the diary slim, cheap and giftable, right for most corporate and membership runs. Day-per-page (about 368 pages) suits working diaries, school planners with daily homework space, and anything sold as a serious tool. The page count roughly doubles the book, so it's also a price decision, compare both page counts in the calculator above.

Can each copy be personalised with a name?

Yes, individual names can be foiled or printed on covers copy by copy, from a simple spreadsheet. Popular for staff diaries and premium client gifts. Per-copy personalisation adds a set-up element, so the per-copy price improves as the run grows.

What paper stops ink showing through?

Choose an uncoated stock from the calculator and compare samples with your usual pen. 100gsm opaque is a useful starting point when you want to reduce show-through, but no paper is suitable for every ink. Fountain pens, markers and heavy ink coverage can behave differently, so check both sides of the sample before ordering.

Can I feel the covers and foils before ordering?

Yes, order a free sample pack showing bindings, cover materials, foils and paper stocks. Corporate buyers choosing between cloth and soft-touch covers find it settles the argument quickly.
