Wedding photo albums, planners and guest books — premium thread-sewn binding, lay-flat pages, sizes up to 300mm square.

Wedding book printing
From 10 copies Thread-sewn lay-flat Up to 300mm square Leather or linen covers Foil blocking available Vegan cover options

A wedding album that’s actually worth keeping. The kind that comes off the shelf at every anniversary, that gets passed around at family gatherings, that still feels solid in twenty years. Mass-produced photo books don’t cut it — the binding fails, the pages won’t lie flat, and the cover material wears.

We print wedding books in-house at our Exeter facility with premium thread-sewn binding as standard, so every spread opens flat across the gutter. Hardback covers in printed paper case, cloth, leather or vegan equivalents. Foil blocking, ribbon markers and head and tail bands available where you want to lift it from album into heirloom.

How much does wedding book printing cost?

Wedding books are short-run premium hardbacks — few copies, high page-count, full colour on heavy coated stock. The per-copy price reflects that, but the total order is usually modest. The numbers below show A4 case-bound hardback on 170gsm matt paper. Get an exact quote for your spec.

Frequently asked

Quick answers, before you ask.

How many copies can I order?

From 10 copies upwards. Wedding books are usually printed in small runs — one for the couple, perhaps a smaller sister-edition for parents or bridesmaids. We’re short-run specialists, so 1–5 copy reprints later are no problem.

How is thread-sewn different from a normal photo book?

Most high-street photo books are perfect-bound — pages glued at the spine. Cheap to make but the glue lets go after enough use, and the book never opens fully flat (the gutter swallows part of every spread). Thread-sewn stitches the pages into sections before binding, so the book opens flat for easy viewing and lasts decades. It’s standard on every wedding book we print.

What paper should I choose for the photos?

For most wedding albums we recommend 130–170gsm silk-coated. Vibrant colour reproduction without the high-gloss shine that can show fingerprints. If you want a more refined, matte feel, 130–200gsm matte coated is the upgrade — the heavier weight reads as premium when held.

Can I have a leather cover?

Yes. We offer leather and vegan-leather equivalents for hardback wedding books, with optional foil blocking on the front cover and spine. It’s the most premium finish in our range and works particularly well for anniversary or gift editions.

How long does a wedding book take to print?

Standard turnaround is around 10–15 working days for hardback wedding books from approval of your proof. Express options are available where the deadline is tight — drop us a note before placing the order if it’s a same-month deadline and we’ll confirm what’s achievable.

What file format should I send?

Press-ready PDF is easiest, with 3mm bleed on all edges, all images at 300 DPI and CMYK colour throughout. We also accept high-resolution image files and can lay them out for a fee, or work with files exported from Lightroom, InDesign or design tools your photographer uses.

Can I see a sample wedding book first?

Yes — we send out free sample packs showing different binding styles, paper stocks and cover finishes including bound dummies where stock allows. Particularly useful for couples who want to feel the materials before signing off the spec.
