It was my first time printing books with Imprint, and I had a really good experience. The books came out just as I expected, and they were packed really carefully for delivery. Happy with the service and the quality!

I would give 10 stars if I could. This was my first foray into preparing a book myself for self publishing. In the past we have paid a designer a vast amount which wasn’t a cost effective option for this project. Riley at Imprint was endlessly helpful and patient and we have ended up with a very professional product at an incredibly reasonable price. What is even more outstanding is that I approved the final PDF on Wednesday and received the books on Friday!

I'm delighted with the whole printing experience with ImprintDigital. In a book with many colour photos and detailed technical illustrations, the printing quality is absolutely superb, with bright, true colours, sharp details and a high-quality glossy texture. The ordering process was simple and email responses were fast, friendly and professional..A delivery issue caused by another company was handled swiftly and elegantly. I highly recommend ImprintDigital.

Who it is for

What people print

Guest keepsake books

The day as a book (photographs, the story of how you met, the speeches) printed for every guest or household. Runs of 25 to 100, the same production standard as a retail hardback.

Wedding guest books

Books for the day itself, with prompts on each page for thoughtful messages rather than just signatures. Paperback or foil-blocked hardback from 10 copies (25 for hardbacks): built for venues, planners and stationers ordering in quantity.

Family & parent editions

A hardback edition of the wedding for parents, grandparents and the bridal party. Twenty-five copies covers the inner circle; the per-copy price falls fast as the run grows.

Planners & wedding businesses

Branded wedding planners, venue books and celebrant keepsakes printed in runs. A planning book finished in linen or leather is useful before the day and beautiful after it.

Questions

Wedding books FAQ

How much does a wedding book cost to print?

Wedding book pricing depends on album size, page count, colour printing, paper and binding. Cloth covers, foil, ribbons and the number of copies also affect the total. Use the calculator above for your exact specification, or compare UK book printing prices.

Can you print just one wedding album?

Honestly: no, and we'd rather tell you that than sell you the wrong thing. We're edition printers: runs start at 10 copies (25 for hardbacks), hardback or paperback. If you want a single album of your photographs, a photo-book or albums service is the right buy. Where we earn our keep is when the book is for everyone, a keepsake edition for guests and family, printed to the same standard as a retail hardback.

How many copies can I order?

From 10 copies (25 for hardbacks), hardback or paperback, the same minimum as every book we print. Typical wedding runs are 25 to 100: twenty-five covers both families and the bridal party, fifty reaches the wider guest list, and one per guest household makes the full keepsake edition. Per-copy prices fall sharply across that range, so it's worth pricing a couple of quantities. Reprints later run at the same minimum.

What's the difference between a wedding album and a photo book?

These names cover a range of formats. We print short runs of wedding books in paperback or hardback, with sewn or glued binding and the cover options shown in the calculator. Choose the construction, paper and quantity that suit the photographs and the people receiving copies. Our minimum is 10 paperbacks or 25 hardbacks; if you only need one copy, look for a service offering single-copy photo books.

What does thread-sewn binding offer for a wedding book?

Thread-sewn binding stitches folded sections together, helping the book open more easily and supporting repeated use. It is not a completely lay-flat book. The opening depends on the paper, page count and construction, so keep important text, faces and fine image details clear of the gutter. Glued binding is a lower-cost option.

What paper should I choose for the photos?

For photographic pages, compare the 130, 150 and 170gsm coated stocks in the calculator. Matt or silk gives a lower-sheen surface; gloss gives a shinier finish. Our interior paper range stops at 170gsm. Order a free sample pack to compare the available papers before choosing.

What goes in a guest keepsake book?

The strongest ones read like a short story of the day: how you met, the proposal, photographs from the morning through to the last dance, the speeches in full (ask your speakers for their notes, they'll be flattered), the menu, and a page or two from the guest book. The aim is the day told as a story, not a photo dump.

How many photos and pages should a wedding book have?

As a rough guide, allow two to four photographs per spread so images have room to breathe, cramming a dozen onto a page is the quickest way to make an album feel cheap. Most wedding books land at 60 to 100 pages, which at that density holds roughly 60 to 200 photographs and tells the story of the day without padding. Page counts are even numbers, and the per-copy price moves with both the page count and the quantity, so it's worth pricing a couple of lengths in the calculator above. Your photographer will usually have a recommended edit; if not, choosing your favourite 120 or so images is a sensible target.

Can I have a leather cover?

Yes. We offer leather and vegan-leather equivalents for hardback wedding books, with optional foil blocking on the front cover and spine. It's the most premium finish in our range and works particularly well for the parents' editions in a larger run.

How long does a wedding book take to print?

Standard production takes 5 to 7 working days for paperbacks and 3 to 4 weeks for hardbacks, from proof approval. Delivery is additional. If you have a deadline, tell us before ordering so we can confirm what is achievable.

Do I have to design the album myself?

Supply a print-ready PDF, prepared by you, your photographer or a designer. Our typesetting and design guide explains file preparation. If you need layout help, contact us before preparing or sending photographs so we can discuss what is required. Every order receives a file check and a proof to approve before printing.

What file format should I send?

Supply a print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed where artwork reaches the edge, embedded fonts and images at suitable print resolution. Check the export settings with your photographer or designer. If you only have individual photographs, contact us about the next steps before uploading them as a print order.

Can I see a sample wedding book first?

Yes, we send out free sample packs showing different binding styles, paper stocks and cover finishes including bound dummies where stock allows. Particularly useful for couples who want to feel the materials before signing off the spec.
