Who we work with

Book & assessment printing for awarding bodies

Qualification specifications, candidate handbooks and assessment materials printed consistently across an entire document family, with fast re-editioning when specs change.

From 50 copies Perfect, PUR & sewn Mono, colour or mixed Durable handbook binding Consistent document families UK printed, Exeter

Awarding bodies live by the calendar. Qualification specifications, candidate guidance and centre handbooks must land on time, read clearly, and hold together through an entire assessment cycle — often in the hands of assessors and learners who refer to them daily.

We print the full family of documents that surround a qualification: from bulky assessor handbooks that need a durable PUR or sewn spine, to shorter candidate booklets and sample assessment materials. Files are held ready so that when a specification is revised — and it will be — the updated edition can be turned around quickly without rebuilding the job from scratch.

What we print

The complete qualification document family.

01

Qualification specifications & syllabuses

Definitive spec documents for centres and candidates, printed mono or with colour section headings, bound to match your house style across the full suite of qualifications.

02

Candidate & learner handbooks

Guidance booklets that learners keep and use throughout their programme. Durable perfect or PUR binding, clear mono text reproduction, updated and reprinted when the spec changes.

03

Centre & assessor handbooks

Heavier reference documents for training centres and assessors, typically sewn or PUR bound so the spine survives repeated daily use across an assessment cycle.

04

Sample assessment materials & workbooks

Sample papers, practice assessments and structured learner workbooks. Produced discreetly, consistent with the live assessment design, and updated as the qualification evolves.

Frequently asked

Quick answers, before you ask.

Can you print a whole family of qualification documents to a consistent spec?

Yes — that’s the most common brief we receive from awarding bodies. We set up a house spec (trim size, paper, binding, cover treatment) and apply it across every document in the suite, so candidate handbooks, assessor guides and qualification specifications all sit coherently together on the shelf.

How quickly can you reprint when a specification is updated?

Because we hold your print-ready files, a revised edition is essentially a reprint job rather than a rebuild. Supply the updated PDF and we can turn it around quickly — useful when a spec change happens close to the qualification cycle. Get a quote with your quantities and we’ll give you a realistic schedule.

What binding is best for a heavily used assessor handbook?

PUR perfect binding or thread-sewn binding are both good choices for thick documents in repeated daily use. PUR gives a flat, solid spine that handles well and opens reliably. Thread-sewn is the most durable option for volumes that will be consulted many times over a long cycle. Saddle-stitch suits shorter booklets of up to around 60 pages.

Can you mix mono and colour in a single document?

Yes, and there’s no extra charge for doing so. A common arrangement is a mono text body with colour used for section openers, diagrams or brand elements. We handle this routinely — just indicate in your file which pages are colour and which are mono.

How do you handle sensitive pre-publication materials?

We treat all pre-publication documents with discretion. Files are handled securely within our production workflow and are not shared outside the print process. If you have specific handling requirements, discuss them with us when you request a quote and we’ll confirm what we can accommodate.
