Imprint Digital is a working UK bookbindery in Exeter, Devon. Most "UK book printers" you find online are print management companies that route the work to a third-party bindery — sometimes overseas. We're not one of those. We print, sew, case, foil, finish and dispatch every book ourselves, on our equipment, in our facility, with our team.

Our team has over 50 years' combined printing and binding experience. The person who books your order is usually the same person who'll talk you through file-prep, and probably the same person who'll proof your book.

We started life as the in-house printing arm of Imprint Academic, a UK academic publisher. Self-publishing authors, indie publishers and trade printers found us shortly after, and we've been in continuous production ever since.

Added the Universe digital sheet-fed sewing machine — making thread-sewn binding available at short-run quantities. Most UK book printers don't have one to this day.
