Booklet pricing depends on finished size, page count, paper, colour and quantity. A short stapled booklet and a thicker perfect-bound edition need different amounts of paper and binding work. Use the calculator above for your exact specification, or compare UK book printing prices.
Our saddle-stitched booklets run from 8 to 64 pages, in multiples of four. For more than 64 pages, choose perfect-bound paperback printing, where a glued spine supports the longer page count.
Because saddle-stitched booklets are made by folding sheets in half, each sheet contributes 4 pages (two on each side, two from the fold). 8, 12, 16, 20, 24… all valid. 13 or 17 isn't. If your design is, say, 18 pages, you'd typically pad to 20 with blank end-pages or shrink to 16 by removing content.
Standard booklet production takes 5 to 7 working days from proof approval. Delivery is additional. If you have a deadline, tell us before ordering so we can confirm what is achievable.
Yes, and it's the most common way of running booklets. Typical spec is a cover board chosen from the calculator with lighter coated interior pages (115 to 150gsm). For the shortest runs or the simplest jobs, "self-cover" (same paper throughout) is also an option and slightly cheaper.
Yes. Gatefolds extend the cover with extra panels that fold inward, ideal for hero imagery, foldout maps or expanded title-page treatments. Available on most booklet sizes; the spec adds a small per-copy upcharge.
