Who we work with

Book printing for educational publishers

Workbooks, textbooks and revision guides printed short run, with durable bindings that survive classroom use and fast reprints as curricula change.

From 50 copies Thread-sewn lay-flat PUR & saddle-stitch Mono, colour or mixed ISBN & barcode ready Series-consistent spec

Classroom materials work harder than almost any other printed product — opened flat on a desk hundreds of times, annotated, dog-eared, packed into a school bag and pulled out again. The binding has to hold, the pages have to lie flat for written tasks, and the spec has to stay consistent across every title in a series.

We print workbooks, textbooks, revision guides and teacher handbooks at the quantities educational lists actually need — short runs when a new edition launches, medium runs for an established series, and fast reprints whenever a curriculum update means a new version is ready. Files are held on our system so reordering is straightforward and every reprint matches the original.

Frequently asked

Quick answers, before you ask.

What binding is best for workbooks where students write on the pages?

A lay-flat binding is essential — you need the pages to stay open and flat while a student writes across a double-page spread. Thread-sewn binding achieves this reliably and holds up to repeated use. Saddle-stitch works well for thinner workbooks (up to around 64 pages). We’ll advise on the right option once we know the page count.

Can you keep our files and reprint quickly when a new edition is needed?

Yes — we hold print-ready files on our system so that when a curriculum update or a new academic year means you need a reprint, you can order quickly and we can turn it around without starting from scratch. Get a quote with title, edition and quantity to get the ball rolling.

Can you match the spec across a series of titles?

Absolutely. Give us a sample copy or the original spec — trim size, paper weight, binding, cover finish — and we’ll lock it in so every new title in the series sits consistently alongside the existing ones on a classroom shelf or in a student’s bag.

What paper works best for workbooks?

Uncoated text stock is the standard for workbooks and activity books — it takes pen, pencil and highlighter well without smudging. For textbooks and revision guides with photographs or diagrams, a light coated or silk stock reproduces colour and detail more clearly. We’ll help you pick the right combination for each title.

How short a run can you print?

From around 50 copies, which suits pilot editions, niche subject titles, and teacher handbooks needed in small quantities. For most established educational titles, short-to-medium runs of 100–500 copies hit the cost-per-copy sweet spot — and we reprint on demand as stock runs down. See our pricing page or request a quote for your spec.
