03Production challenge

Nothing about the book changed. The only question was time: how quickly 1,000 copies could be printed, bound and sent once the order was released.

04Production route

Printed to the specification on file from the earlier printings: text on our mono presses, the cover on our own presses, then glued and trimmed in the same works.

05Materials

80gsm Opaque, one of the text stocks we hold at the works and at our paper merchant.

06Binding construction

Glued (perfect bound), then trimmed flush on three sides.

07Finishing

Cover printed on our own presses and bound on in the same building.

08Delivery

Despatched on Thursday 26 February 2026: 1,013 copies, as counted on our despatch records.

09Result

Released Monday 23 February, bound Wednesday 25, despatched Thursday 26: three working days from release to despatch, on the title's third printing with us.

10What we would do again

Keep the specification on file between printings, so a reprint starts from what was approved last time rather than from a new brief.
